Today’s Episode
As a PM, which AI tools should you actually use?
There are hundreds of tools. Most, if we’re honest, are hype.
But, some are also game-changers.
So today, I sat down with Anshumani Ruddra - former VP of Product at Hotstar, now Group Product Manager at Google leading all APAC payments - to rank 70+ AI tools tier-list style.
And we reveal the single best AI tool for product managers in 2025.

The Complete AI Tools Tier List
The Top 4 Essential Tools Every PM Must Use
How to Choose the Right AI Tools for Your Workflow
1. The Complete AI Tools Tier List: Every Category Ranked
We ranked 70+ tools across 10 categories. Here’s where we landed in the major categories:
Just to make it to this list means you are a good tool. Sorry if your favorite got a C or a D.
AI Agents & Automation
S-tier: Lindy, This is the agent builder PMs actually want. You can prompt it with natural language to create email responders, meeting prep assistants, podcast-to-blog converters, and more.
A-tier goes to Airtable and n8n .
B-tier: Goes to Relay.app.
C-tier: Make.com - easier than n8n but less powerful. (A great tool, but we had to rank things. )
AI Coding Tools
S-tier: Claude Code is the best. Anshumani runs 6 terminal windows with Claude Code doing different things simultaneously on different parts of his directory structure.
A-tier: v0 (Vercel’s prototyping tool), Bolt.new (Stack Blitz’s platform), and Base44.
B-tier: Lovable crossed $120M ARR in less than a year but gets marked down because everything made with Lovable starts to feel the same. Magic Patterns is great at UI but not backend.
C-tier: Windsurf (too early) and Codex (best for coders).
D-tier: Github Copilot - only use it if it’s all you have access to.
Dictation Tools
S-tier: superwhisper. Takes Whisper Flow and adds even more functionality.
A-tier: Wispr Flow. Makes you feel like Tony Stark talking to Jarvis.
AI Prototyping & Design
S-tier: Replit (ultimate AI prototyping winner, highly agentic).
A-tier: Bolt (best structure, front and back-end), v0 (never runs into errors), and Base 44 (one-man $80M exit).
B-tier: Lovable (crossed $120M ARR but everything looks the same), Magic Patterns (incredibly fast, front-end only), and Figma AI (uses your design system).

2. A Tutorial on the Top 4 Essential AI Tools Every PM Must Use
Here’s more detail on how to use the top 4.
1: Claude Code (S-Tier)
Claude Code is the top AI tool for PMs.
It is the future of product management:
Great for prototyping
Great for coding small features
Allows you to build context better than an LLM
2: superwhisper (S-Tier)
Stop prompting with your fingers. Use your mouth.
With superwhisper, you can go from 65 words per minute typing to 200 words per minute talking.
3: Replit (S-Tier)
All-purpose coding tool. Replit is perfect for rapid prototyping when you need to test an idea quickly.
4: Lindy (S-Tier)
The agent builder PMs actually want. Build email responders, meeting prep, content converters - all with natural language prompts.
3. How to Choose the Right AI Tools for Your Workflow
Start by Analyzing Your Time
Start with understanding where you’re actually spending your time.
Anshumanni’s approach:
Track how you spend your week
Identify the chunks that take up the most time
Find your biggest bottlenecks
Experiment, Then Commit
Once you’ve identified tools that might help:
Test them on real work, not toy examples. Give each tool at least a week of serious use. Track if they’re actually improving your productivity.
Anshumanni’s rule: If a tool isn’t making you noticeably faster or better after a week, move on.
